I want to start the new year by helping to provide insight on a myth I hear far too frequently this time of year. "I want to sell my home, but I think I am going to wait for spring so that it sells better."
Yes, I understand that spring is gorgeous! Everything blooms, and the air is warmer. Gardens are being planted and flower beds flourish. We are all more active, getting out to enjoy the warmer weather. This is all true. However, if everyone waits until spring to sell, the competition increases. When an object is rare, it will gain more attention than when there are several more objects, just like it, close by. The same goes for homes. There are so many buyers currently looking for homes and there are not many homes currently for sale. This works to the advantage of the seller. Buyers will compete to purchase the homes that are currently for sale.
